Our kids love the rambling and silly tale of this wooden puppet, who just can't seem to make the right choices. I adore the Puffin Classics format and cover design. The collector in me wants them ALL. (We already own and have read these two. I'd say that's a good start?)
We read it last year and adored it as well! In fact, it prompted our casual start to read through all the Disney classics--so much better than the movies! Thanks for the recommendation for the illustrations in the Puffins. I have a thing for Cooper Edens, but they're much pricier and not always available and certainly more unwieldy..
