Thank you for indulging me! I am so proud of how we have changed this house, mostly in the past few months. Ha. Although, to be fair to the previous owner, his pictures were not the highest quality, and the photographer for our listing makes the house look even better than it does in real life.
We've got a lead on a house up north, and we're hoping and praying this house sells quickly. So much up in the air--lots of sleep lost over the silly details, but not the big picture.
I need to round up the troops to do our "Showing Drill"-- kind of like a fire drill, but making the house look like the pictures, rather than saving ourselves from peril. We've got showings booked until 7 tonight, so I'm filling our days with creek trips, pool trips, errands, and anything that can keep people occupied and happy.
The transformation is incredible! I forgot, when I started oohing and aahing, that you are moving. I was imagining you all enjoying the brightened spaces. I hope your new house is as lovely and full of light. Or maybe you'll have to transform it, too? I'm very impressed.
ReplyDeleteThank you! We're absolutely enjoying it and so grateful that we got to make some changes while we were still living here. Our prospective new place will need a facelift, too!
DeleteAlthough I love color, the neutral palette in the after photos is great, also I'm sure the quality photography make it look better + brighter. When we sold our house just a little over a year and a half ago, I couldn't believe how great the photographer made our house look!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how a good photograph can really change the look of a house?!
DeleteWhat a transformation! I'm glad you got to enjoy some of the changes -- we're about to move (again) with the military, and I know how bittersweet it is to fix up a house right before you leave. Lovely work!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The priesthood is a bit like the military, as we've discovered, so while we're hoping to put down roots in the new area, we hold those plans very loosely.
