book stacks

This is the time of year that new schoolbooks arrive daily.  My kids enjoy the treat of gathering the small packages and guessing what lies within.  This year, because of the isolation situation, or because we already owned many of the books needed for next year (and had money left over in our budget), I ordered many "extras" to round out our library.  My beloved homeschool retreat was postponed until 2021, so I took the liberty of applying the refunded fee to some books for professional development, i.e. homeschool instruction.  My husband rolls his eyes every time a new book arrives, but he has a stack of new books (that he himself ordered) on his bedside table.  Those who live in glass houses...
