Holidays: New Year's Day

In Greece, Christmas isn't just one day.  In fact, the celebration lasts for twelve whole days, from the Nativity of Christ until His Theophany.  New Year's isn't the end of a festive season; it sits right in the middle.  Doesn't that seem, well, festive?

We are loving that we can still hear Christmas carols in the Metro and that all of the stores are still decked out in their holiday decorations.  The kids loved that Santa Claus didn't bring presents until New Year's Day; did waiting make opening the presents more fun, or was it just me?

How can we pull this twelve day celebration off next year?
